Street Preacher
Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 9:17AM
After the Veteran's Day parade, I came across this street preacher. Photographed him with what I now know is the ultimate parade lens, the 70-200 f2.8.
Also, thanks to the new blog format, I can now post larger images! If you like what you see, please take a second to subscribe! Thank you!

Hi Chris,
How are you?
It´s great! I like the bigger images, can I see more details!
Great death of field. These is a good lens!
In NYC have many "funny" people like him, isn´t it?
:)
Have a nice weekend!
Hi Dee,
You are the first commenter on the new blog! Thank you for your feedback. The bigger pictures will make it much easier to see more image detail. You are correct, there are many interesting people on the streets of New York. Around every corner, there is a surprise.
Hey Chris,
Really like the new site & to top it off - believe it or not - I once considered doing some street preaching myself. Go figure, that's the first image I see on your new site. Maybe somebody is trying to tell me something. Um, I will be able to retire in a couple of years, might make a good pastime. People think I'm crazy already so, I'd fit right in :-)
Anyway, good work on the site and I look forward to more of your photos.
Hey Glenn! Thanks so much for your input on the new design! I'm glad the photo has personal meaning to you. It's funny how things happen like that. Photography is such a powerful medium, and I'm very grateful to be able to share mine with you and others.
Chris~ This photo really captures the depth and texture of walking through a NYC street! I can almost hear the people talking and the squeals of taxi tires! Thanks for sharing the colorful side of NYC.
Nice site Chris, really love the colors on the preacher shot! Very nice indeed.
Thank you Maggie and Sue. I'm glad you both made it over from the old blog! Looking forward to sharing many more images with you. Thanks!
