Watch "Hoop Springs Eternal" on SnagFilms Now!
Friday, August 28, 2009 at 3:25PM Earlier this year I was involved in the creation of a short Documentary along with filmmakers Ted Fisher, Linda Goldman, and Maya Mumma. I was the Assistant Director, and one of the camera operators. It was done as part of the International Doc Challenge which allows you only 5 days to shoot, edit, and complete a film. It was my first time doing anything like this, and I learned a great deal. Ted details some of those lessons on his blog. Up until now, we were unable to show the film online as we were submitting it to other film festivals. Today, I'm happy to be able to share it with you via SnagFilms. If you enjoy it, please take a second to rate it, or leave a comment. Thanks!

Well, we still are submitting it (or the newer, shorter, re-edited version) to film festivals. So it may or may not stay on Snagfilms.
Folks should enjoy it while they can.
I've written to one of the festivals we are hoping to show it in to see if they are okay with the Snagfilms post or if it should come down. We'll see.

Thanks Ted, I'm looking forward to our next film!
Hey Chris, like the movie, it's a good documentary. In my younger days I had a hula-hoop and I was pretty good with it myself, but not quite up to this level, though. Fun to watch, however. Good luck with it.
Appreciate that Glenn. Glad it brought back some hooping memories for you. Thanks for the feedback.
