An image is an image, and the medium it was captured on shouldn't really matter. Film, digital, and medium format cameras are all simply tools used to capture a moment. Over the last 6 months or so, I've come to realize that the camera in my iphone 3G can also be used to create artistic photographs that are worthy of sharing.
When shooting with my phone, I pay careful attention to way the light intermingles with shadows. I'm intrigued by textures and layered composition. I search for patterns, shape and repetition. In keeping with the spirit of simplicity, I've yet to experiment with any Apps for editing the images. They were all imported into Lightroom 2 where they were cropped slightly to fit in the framing border. Other than that, they are straight out of the phone. Below are some of my favorites. Which one do you like best?

This set of photos are playful and fun. Love'em!!
I like, Lobby at Macy's Flower Show and "The Big Apple" best, in the sence that they are the most pleasing to my eyes. They all are interesting, however.
Hey, I appreciate that Cathy, thanks very much!
Wow! These are incredibly sharp and punchy for a camera phone and of course very well composed. I would never have guessed these were taken with such a small cam. My favourite is the big apple!
Nice images Chris.
Hey Chris, My favorite is the Macy's Flower Show! WOW... amazing! - ddok
Thanks very much for your input. I'm going to try to enlarge one of these to an 8x10 to see how well it holds up. Should be interesting.
