Recommended Reading for Nature Photographers

You may have noticed the "Recommended Photography Reading" widget on the left hand side of this blog. It's a collection of books I have read that I feel would be helpful to just about any photographer. There is one book in there however, that does not deal with the technical or business side of photography. It's called "My First Summer in the Sierra" by John Muir. If you are unfamiliar with his writing, I urge you to check out his works. His writing will inspire you to get outside and enjoy the wonders of our natural world. Here is a sample, and also one of my favorite quotes by him:

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”
