An abundance of candles, flowers, and signs of sympathy overflow towards the sidewalk in front of the Polish Consulate General building on 37th Street in New York on April 15th, 2010. This is in response to the April 10th plane crash which killed 97 people including the Polish President Lech Kaczynski, and his wife Maria.
The statue above is of Jan Karski, a Polish hero who was a World War II resistance fighter.
