Taken From Lincoln's Vantage Point
This is the view from the top steps of the Lincoln Memorial. At 555 feet, the Washington Monument towers above the city.
The light at the very bottom of the frame is part of the WWII Memorial. By using a very small aperture it becomes a starburst. Approximately one mile away, the Capitol building's warm lights glow as dusk settles in.
Photographed with a 70-200mm lens on a tripod. Camera settings: f25, 10", ISO 100
