In case you were wondering, these were not taken with a Tilt Shift lens. The miniature look of New York City is actually part of the annual Holiday Train Show at Grand Central Terminal. I know, it’s technically past the holidays but who doesn’t like electric Lionel trains running through a custom built cityscape?
It was rather dark inside so I had to shoot at ISO 1600. As usual, the 40D held up really well and produced crisp images without too much noise.
The show is only on display until January 17th. If you can't make it, this video by YouTube user melonheaddave really captures the joy it brings all who visit.
