Photography Improves Memory

"Study participants who spent time learning digital photography showed gains in memory."

In a study completed by the University of Texas, those who challenge themselves to learn photography (and/or quilting) actually improved their overall memory capacity. Dr. Denise Park who led the research commented that "As a society, we need to learn how to maintain a healthy mind – we know how to maintain vascular and heart health with diet and exercise, but we know so little about maintaining cognitive health.”
