It's amazing how big of an impact family can have on your life. A few months back I was talking with my Uncle about a photograph. He said "Chris, you don't take pictures, you tell stories." His words really got me thinking about how I go about my work.
When I was first starting out, I would call myself a "light snob". The conditions always had to be just right in order for it to be photo worthy. This of course was really limiting as the perfect situation rarely arises. It presented a crossroads where I could either stagnate or broaden my horizons. Thankfully I chose the latter.
