Summer Wanes in Central Park

The angle of the sun changes a little each morning, and shorter days bring cooler air. Fall is most definitely on the horizon, yet summer hangs on with late flowers blooms and pleasant afternoons. It's an ideal time of year to stroll through the park and photograph the sites of Manhattan.  Here are three photos I captured with the Canon 6D and my favorite wide angle lens, the 17-40mm.

Processing was done with Alien Skin Software in Lightroom 4.

On September 18th, 2013 I'll be the photo judge at the first competition of the new season for the Paumanok Camera Club on Long Island.  If you'd like to see the quality work their members are creating, and hear my commentary on each photo, the details and directions are here.   It's always a fun, and educational experience.
