An Impression of Reality

The world seems less chaotic at f1.8.  There is a definitive level of control that comes with a depth of field this incredibly shallow. A difference of mere millimeters determines what stays sharp while everything else becomes an impression of reality. The further a subject from my chosen focal point, the less impact it has, until finally it appears as nothing but a wash of color.
